Established in 1999 and growing ever since, the Nevada Women’s Rugby Team has shown great success and even more potential. As the sister team to the great Nevada Men’s Collegiate Team, we have come to establish ourselves as a force to be reckoned with. While we are the only intercollegiate women’s rugby team in the Northern Nevada area, we pride ourselves on our dedication and tenacity. With a mixture of seasoned veterans and bright new talent, we are determined to spread our love for our game in such a male dominated atmosphere.
Our team is always looking for new players who are interested in becoming part of a strongly driven rugby team. We practice twice a week during the fall semester and three times a week in the spring. For the spring we practice on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5:30pm - 7:30pm on the John Sala Intramural Fields on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. If you are interested in joining our team, please come out to a practice and try it out! Many of our players had not played any more, so no experience is necessary.
